Well we are now day 4 of Ibiza already...it is lovely as we expected. Wall to wall sunshine and about 30 degrees in the shade. Going rather pink, but that is normal for me and just loving the sea, lolling about on an airbed and snorkelling.
Had a bit of a scare on Sunday as we were on the beach swimming, a fire started near our hotel. In true Spanish manana style, it took the fire brigade nearly half an hour to get there by which time it was spreading quite rapidly towards our block. However, never fear, the water plane was near, flying overhead and very low down it dropped a huge mass of water....missing most of the fire but hitting quite a few sunbathers on the beaach, sending sunbeds and parasols up in the air to a rousing applause from the thousands of onlookers!!
As I was in the water, for once I didnt have my camera on me to capture the event...typical. However there was full coverage in the local paper the next day. We even think Dan is in one of the photos!!
I took this photo a few days after the fire. The building in front is our block!! The helicopter landed in the football field that was just next to this block behind where the fire was. I don't like fire and it was quite scary watching it take hold and burn the palm trees. It will be interesting to see how much will have grown back next year.

oh no!! Glad you are able to laugh about it....could have been much worse. Was Mrs Jinx in the plane??Enjoy the rest of your holiday, with no more disasters please. I'm all the way around the world in Aus, so can't cause too much more trouble can I?
