Meanwhile rehearsals for Oliver! at the Romsey Plaza theatre are going well, for the performances 3-6th December. Tickets now on sale if you fancy going along ! So looking forward to seeing it...a few times! Think I may shed a few tears when he sings 'Where is love?"!! Daniel now helping with the lighting too and cant wait to get his hands on the 160 lights at the Plaza!
Quite a busy term so far as both the boys are in significant years for schooling, Cam in Year 6 with SATs in May and Dan in year 11 with GCSEs looming. Lots of coursework for Daniel which is causing quite a bit of stress all round, but we'll get there....It's also been decision time for secondary school for Cameron which has meant many an evening browsing local schools. we have opted for Mountbatten where Daniel is, though we are not guaranteed a place, but really hope he gets the opportunity to go there and make the most of all it has to offer. We have to wait until March until we know where he will go.
For Dan it is career choice time with open evenings at colleges...it really is all go this term!! Not really having an idea what he would like to do,we have so far gone from gamekeeper to chef to entering the Royal Navy!! It is so hard at 15 to know what you want to do...I am 21+ and still don't know what career I would like!! Still, it will all sort out in the end but we just need to keep him focussed on GCSEs to give him the best chances possible.
Looking forward to half term and a free Haven holiday in Wales courtesy of Tesco vouchers. We all need a break, it has been a hectic term. We need to recharge ready for the weeks ahead...mock GCSE exams, coursework, Oliver!, Christmas productions etc
