Needing a passport...

We were impressed to leave on the dot of 9am as planned this morning for the long journey to Tenby, Wales. Just less than a couple of hours and we were soon enjoying the 'POANG' chairs, 'EKTORP' sofas in IKEA, Bristol. A totally planned visit of course as we knew we could get a cheap tasty lunch and also have a look at what will be readily available come February once the store opens in Southampton - Yippee! Not quite so sure that I will be buying 'BUMERANGS' to hang my clothes on though!(coathangers). Just love the names of things - the boys liked that bit, thankfully, as a visit to Ikea could have been a complete bore for them but they were OK with it on the whole. Rob enjoyed his meatballs and I bought a frying pan..whoooooo!

And then it was over the Severn Bridge and into Wales. Yes, blue sky in England and cloud over the border. The bridge was pretty impressive, though Dan and Cam were more interested in their phone and DVD!!

And sure enough, the SECOND we crossed into Wales, it started raining - you can even see spots of rain on the windscreen in the photo!

It seemed a long journey to Tenby, especially as we hit a huge traffic jam on the outskirts of Cardiff. We were pleased ,however, to make it to our caravan at Haven Kiln Park by about 430pm. We weren't very pleased, however, to find that the camp shop closed at 5pm so were unable to stock up with food for tea and breakfast. I know it is end of season and all that don't the Welsh realise that when you are on holiday you need these places open at convenient times.

Thankfully there was a 'get a bank loan for tea' Burger King on site so at least we were able to grab a Whopper.

Our caravan was lovely and quite cosy once the gas fire was on, though the bedrooms were a bit on the chilly side.
