Dr Doolittle?!

On the outskirts of Christchurch but still in the middle of nowhere we stopped at a place called the Tin Shed. From the outside, just a bit of a wreck of a building, but inside, a huge shop selling NZ bits and pieces, especially wool related.A browse around the shop was a must but the highlight were the animals that were in the fields around the shed. Of course Val and Rich had stopped here before and knew it would be a hit with the boys!

If this was the UK, they would be asking ££££££ for food to feed the animals, but not here....

We were given bags of carrots etc to take around to all the animals which was great fun. Huge rabbits, horses, alpacas and the most gorgeous pigs - my favourite animal. They were so funny as they grabbed the food as quickly as possible, nearly dragging us into the field with them!

This pig was such a character!

Feeding time over, it was back on the road for the last leg of the journey to Christchurch. After 7 days on the road, Rich finally got a signal on the car radio so we sang along to some fab 70's and 80s tracks on the way!!!
