A common sight in New Zealand is a house move!
You choose your house, you choose the spot you would like it in, you cut the house in half, then you transport it to where you want it. It doesn't seem to matter that the house takes up the whole road and knocks down signs and trees along the way and causes horrendous traffic jams...well, by horrendous I mean there were about 15 cars stuck behind it including us! That is a traffic jam in New Zealand!!!
It was a funny sight to us - I could just imagine moving our house to Chilworth and noone batting an eyelid!!
